Background

Machine Intelligence and Translation Laboratory in the School of Computer Science and Technology in Harbin Institute of Technology will conduct the Summer School on Human Language Technology. The school will be held from July 21 to July 26, 2008 at the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China.

Goal & audiences

The summer school will consist of lectures by leading experts in the fields of Human Language Technology (HLT) from around the world. The aim of the school is to introduce students and young researchers the important new areas and the latest progress in HLT in a consolidated and comprehensive manner. The school aims to bring the state of the art in research in Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics to senior undergraduate students, graduate students, research scholars and faculty members, and to provide a forum for Chinese and international researchers to interact.
